The new ECS4150 series Ethernet access switches represent a significant advance over the previous ECS4120 series. The new series delivers innovative features, enhanced performance and expanded management capabilities to address the growing demands of modern ISP, enterprise and campus networks.
 

Key improvements over the predecessor ECS4120

  • Higher performance
    The most significant advancement within the ECS4150 series is the introduction of 25 Gigabit uplink ports on the ECS4150-54T and ECS4150-54P models, which offer six 25G SFP28 uplink ports compared to four 10G SFP+ ports on the previous ECS4120 series. This upgrade represents a more than two-fold increase in uplink capacity, enabling more efficient interconnection with network aggregation layers. The ECS4150-28T and ECS4150-28P retain the four 10G SFP+ uplink ports.

     
  • Advanced Power over Ethernet options
    The ECS4150-54P supports up to 90 Watt PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) per port, enabling power for the most demanding devices including high-end security cameras and advanced access points.

     
  • Advanced features for reliability and durability
    The new ECS4150 series introduces several innovative features that were not available in the previous generation. The Dying Gasp feature automatically sends a notification when a power failure occurs, allowing for proactive network management and faster response to problems. The 6kV surge protection provides enhanced surge immunity.

     
  • Cloud-based management with ecCLOUD
    In addition to ecCLOUD, the ECS4150 series also supports TIP OLS (Telecom Infra Project Open Line System), which expands the possibilities of integration into open telecom platforms. Traditional management options remain, including CLI, SNMP, web interface and a complete private MIB for integration with existing EMS systems.
